Green Concrete: Reducing Carbon Footprint in Construction

Concrete is the most widely used man-made material on Earth, but its production is responsible for a significant portion of global CO2 emissions. 'Green Concrete' refers to concrete produced with waste materials or industrial by-products to reduce its environmental impact.

We are exploring the use of fly ash, slag, and silica fume as partial replacements for Portland cement. These materials not only divert waste from landfills but also improve the durability and strength of the concrete.

Our recent pilot project in the Eco-Industrial Park demonstrated that green concrete mixes could achieve the same compressive strength as traditional mixes while reducing embodied carbon by up to 30%.
